Just when I thought the world couldn’t get any worse, an elderly woman from London was the victim of a very brutal murder on the 4th of September 2013. According to the police department in London, a man by the name of Nicholas Salvadore was arrested for chopping off Palmira Sliva’s head, in her backyard. Palmira Silva was 82-years-old at the time of her murder. According to police, Nicholas Salvadore was arrested moments after he beheaded Palmira. The London Evening Standard describes Salvadore as “a 25-year-old would-be cage fighter who is believed to be a Muslim convert.” The murder took place when a drugged Salvadore was spotted running though people’s backyards in Edmonton, London. He chopped off several cats head with a machete, and was screaming out the top of his lungs, “the cats have stolen my lighter.” He also cracked numerous car windows, according to Mirror reports. The London police were called and innocent people left their residences as Salvadore’s rampage persisted. Palmira Silva also tried to escape and flee her home, but before she could evacuate the premises Salvadorechopped her head off. Police said they found her body in her backyard, chopped into pieces. The London police detained Salvadore when they found him. One of the officer’s injured his wrist trying to stop the huge man, who also goes by the nickname “Fat Nick.” The London police aren’t sure if Silva and Salvadore knew each other. Salvadore had been sleeping over various friends in Silva’s housing complex in recent weeks. His friends are still in shock and said they never thought in a million years their friend would commit such a crime. “At school he was just a normal bloke,” tattoo artist Lewis Young told the London Evening Standard. “He seemed pretty cool. It’s just shocking he could have done something like this. It’s so random and strange, I just can’t believe it.” Salvadore is currently in police custody.
