Man Trapped for Three Days In Store Wall

Authorities has said that a man rescued from inside a wall at a department store may have been trapped there for up to three days. The Longmont Fire Department in Colorado cut a large hole in the side of the Marshall’s store on Tuesday 35-year-old to free Paul Felyk from the space between the interior and exterior walls. United Press Internationalwas there: Authorities said store workers heard shouting Monday, but were unable to determine the origin of the sound. Employees heard the man yelling again Tuesday morning and traced the voice to a hole in a back wall. Police said Felyk is believed to have spent three days trapped in the wall after apparently entering through a roof vent for unknown reasons. Investigators said the man had attempted unsuccessfully to pass distress notes from his position between the walls, and one of the notes was scrawled on his probation officer’s business card. One of the notes was dated Nov. 8, indicating he had been in the wall since Saturday. Felyk was taken to Longmont United Hospital. Police said they are looking into possible charges including criminal trespass.
